No, Vince did not "beat the crap" out of USC; the score was 41-38.

It came down to USC going against its usual game plan and playing conservatively.

Lendale White had terrorized the Texas dfense all day; yet, the defense stopped two Lendale White attempts at the end, and took over possession of the football.

If USC did the unexpected, and had Matt pass, USC would have got the first down (likely), and took a knee for the rest of the game.

But, as stated above, "Thunder" was effective all day.

How about the lateral by Vince, with one knee on the ground, for the touchdown?

How soon we forget!

BTW, USC will be formidable this year, if we can keep our players out on bail!

The proof is in the score baby! Texas 41 USC 38. Texas was better last year and is better this year. All that hype about USC being the "best team in college football history" (by the way they got second) was crap. They hadn't even proven they were the best team that year. Hook'em Horns. Repeat in 06' Vince will be successful in the nfl b/c he is a winner. Being a winner translates wherever u go.

OK . if you want to talk about unconventional style. Look at Brett Favre. C'mon. It has nothin got with a player's style. Is he Coachable? Can he run an offense in the NFL? Hey, don't hate the guy just because he almost single handedly BEAT THE CRAP out of your "perfect" team. Look at his potential. He could be great with the right offense.
Besides, at this point it's kind of up for grabs. (Especially in Texas.. but what are ya gonna do....)

And no I didn't forget about the questionable call. Sometimes you get em, sometimes you don't. But from the single perspective it was still one man who made the majority of the plays in that game. And your precious Trojans couldn't do a damn thing about it. So from his perspective, yes, I think "beat the crap" out of them works nicely. I'm no hater. I just have the bragging rights as a fan and an Austin born Texas native who's team pulled off the impossible. I say HOOK 'EM!

Vince will do great in the NFL. His release is quick and it his a nice spiral that receivers can easily catch. He has the mobility of vick with the arm of McNabb. He can be a really good QB for years to come. He will likely struggle his first year but will get better.
