It's right at the very tip of the tailbone, and it feels like there is a small marble size ball at the very end (where the end of the spine meets the very start of the "butt-crack"...whatever it's called). Is that normal at the end of the tailbone?? What could be causing it to hurt so much? ....as if I fell on it...bruised or inflamed. I do not recall doing anything to aggrivate it. If anyone has a condition with similar symptons, let me know if I should see my doctor, or if it's really nothing to worry about.

Hi, I had that problem about 18 months ago, it came on after a long car trip. I went and saw an osteopath who was reccomended to me. I was a bit sceptical, but he was fantastic. They use massage, manipulation & acupuncture. Within a month I was 100% better, and I still go back every 6 weeks for a massage to loosen things up. Its not cheap, but what price do you put on being pain free?

i broke my tail bone once. be sure to sit on a pillow when you sit on a hard surface. if it bothers you or your back begins to hurt then maybe you should try going to the chiropractor and getting an X-ray
