we have been married for 3 years, and she told me that she has been having an affair with a 41 year old doctor for nearly the whole 3 years (my wife is a nurse). i have always been good to her, spend all my $$$ on her and always give her all my attention. why would she leave me for a guy that is as old as her dad? i want an opinion as to why.....

Um well I guess to her she didn't feel married, or feel committed. It is terrible what she did to you, maybe she feels she needed a Father figure in her life. Maybe he's filling a void she had with her own father and being a Doctor gives her a certain status. It won't last though once the thrill of cheating is over and the Doctor has his prize.. he'll get tired of her and move on.. I'm sure there are a number of willing nurses that will ahem get down for him. So when she comes crawling back to you after she realizes she messed up a good thing.. Remember what she did to you, and she'll never change and always be a LOSER!!!

You only mentioned that your wife is 23, how old are you?
It seems like she married you out of conveniece and maybe even camouflage so that she can continue her affair with the doctor.

It is a blow to you but see to bright side at least now you knew about it. She is not worth for keeps, do what you need to do and move on with your life. Give yourself a chance to meet someone who will treasure you.

Well if I were you.GET PROOF that your wife cheated on you with him.Excuse my ignorance on this,Im not sure how to word it,but you CAN INDEED SUE the Doctor for wrecking your marriage. There is a law for it.Go find you a good lawyer. If you do not have any money for a lawyer then find one who will take the case "Pro Bono".Being that you will sue a Doctor, you should have no problem finding a lawyer to take the case.
If you can prove everything, you will get a BIG CHUNK OF HIS MONEY for wrecking your life.
Just trust me,there is a law for it!I have seen it done before.GOOD LUCK!!!!

if you treat her so well then apparently she doesn't appreciate any of your efforts, i don't know why this could have happened, but sometimes if you are being too good, ppl just take you for granted. It sucks but i think you are better off moving on, it's a big world out there, and you life doesn't have to revolve around a person who cheats on you almost as soon as you two were married... besides, if the doctor can cheat with her, he could just as eaily cheat with any other nurse... there are def better matches for you somewhere...

MONEY MONEY AND MORE MONEY. Your better off without a woman like that in your life. Money does not buy happiness but to some women they think it does. She will turn around and probably cheat on the doctor with someone with more money. As she gets older she will age and have nothing to offer who will she turn to then?

I am really sorry for it, but I think she should be attracted to older man. Maybe she always liked older men but was scared to admit it. Plus she has been a nurse and he is a doctor. I think he had control over her and she liked it.

why does money have to play a part in this. Sometimes cheaters cheat because they can. Maybe he makes her happy. The grass is always greener on the otherside. Really the one that could answer this question is her. We don't know you, nor your relationship with your wife so really it is hard to specualte.

Money. But she'll find out that doctors lead stressful lives and that being a "doctor's wife" it ain't all it's cracked up to be.
