He's a slugger! That's why.
Not that I want to agree with you calling him names,
but I agree on the lazy part. It doesn't seem like the extra weight hinders his performance at bat, so maybe he should get fit just for his health!
At any rate (weight) :
I hope A-Rod beats him again this year. Go A-Rod!

How can you not say Ortiz should win the MVP? ****! He's got 41 homers and I dont even know how many RBIS. Hes got the most in the MLB. He deserves it the only ones who think he doesn't is those damn Yankees fans. Jeter sure as hell won't win it and A-Rod won't win it. Jeter hasn't put up numbers like big papi.

And who cares if hes fat! Two words BABE RUTH. It's obvious your a Yankee fan so why dont you talk about Ruth being fat!

well, if you bothered to look at his stats, especially in the clutch, you would see that he is without a doubt the best offensive player in the game right now. He is better than jeter, whose leadership is really overrated in terms of actual affect on the game and because he plays in new york. the only major category in which jeter far and away beats ortiz is battign average. ortiz hit more home runs, drive sin more runs, scores more, and has a much higher sluging percentage too. obviously you are a red sox hater and love the yankees, but still, if you were smart you would see that ortiz is the definite mvp this year.

Ortiz can play first base, he plays in in interleague, and world series.

He can actually play it ok.

Why should he? RBI leader, HR leader, master of the important and game winning hits, good average. Ortiz is carrying the red sox.

The award is Most Valuable Player.

No player is currently doing more to help their team win.

Jeter is having a great year, and with the injuries, its fantastic. He is not doing more than Ortiz. Giambi, Damon, Mussina, Wang.

There are more yankees doing the business.

He Hit his 41 ist this year
they dont need him to field since the red sox already have the best defense in the league. How is gAy-rod doing now? Jeter is having a tremendous season but his numbers dont stack up to Ortiz

hey yankee fan, ortiz will win because of his stats, sorry he beats you guys every year but its somthing you have to deal with. Jeter will never win MVP and if he does the value of MVP dose not mean anything. Sorry Big Papi destroys you guys soo much, why don't you just go buy some better pitchers

People say that he should win because of what he brings to his team--countless walk off and go ahead runs. I agree, he should lose some weight and learn to play 1st base. He actually did a pretty good job at 1st in the All-Star game.

hey man i care about critisim but you don't have to insult him, but it doesn't matter if he can't play his stats are so much better than jeters he will probaly get it, but i truely think if the phillies make it to the playffs and actually do well ryan howrd is gonna get ... and i'm serious if the phillies can make it to the playoffs he has to be the most valuable player besides it would be about time a National Leaguer go it
