I've heard, I forget where, that a 3 branch government is the most unstable, since if two start cooperating, they pretty much have control. I think we have been lucky that the legislative, executive and judicial branches all seem to disagree ^_o
I may be horribly wrong though...
Maybe I'm not...
I don't have a (complete) idea for a substitute government.

What do you all think?

the US really just needs a new government...the sooner George Bush goes and voting is made compulsary like other nations, the better.less wasted money, less complaining about who is actually in power.

Well, it may not be perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better than the old Polish legislature, where a single member of the assembly (which consisted of a little less 20% of the population) could stop and end ANY pending bill by saying "I do not allow it".

Actually, our forefathers, a bunch of really smart dudes, fairly well established that our current system is best, and rightly so. Else, they would have chosen another. How dare you use the Yahoo Answers furum to begin your attempt to overthrow the government. You are doomed to failure, you know that don't you?

No that what makes America great we argue that may sound wierd but, its better than someone tellin you what to do.

No, it isn't perfect because no human endeavor ever is but it is the best we have come up with.
