Most of the people who are renting homes or rooms are asking for a lease of 3-months, 6-months or 12-months. But I need a place to stay for just one month, for which I am willing to pay the full rent for that month. Nobody is agreeing to rent the house to me, because I am going to move out after next month.

How can I convince them? Or, am I looking a the wrong place & wrong people?

Look on www.craigslist.com for short-term housing for your area.

Just be upfront and honest.
I rent out half of my duplex on a month to month basis.
There are many B And B's that will let you rent a room for a month. And breakfast usually comes with it .
Always have cash in hand..
It will help if you don't smoke, drink, are very quiet and polite, and don't disturb anyone else in the building.
If you frequent niteclubs and come in late then forget it..

Have you tried Craig's list..... some people take a month long trip and sublet their places. Or you can stay at a extended stay.

call a real estate agent and ask if they know any weekly pay apartments, most of these are already furnished

you coud also check the ratty hotels, they do weekly rentals

you could also look at extended stay hotels, they are not ratty, and usually have reasonable rates.
