I do that too. I procrastinate on everything, even going to bed :)

I'm awake at 1:12 a.m. answering this question. Yeah, you could say I do the same thing. I have a hard time making my mind stop. When I go to lay down my mind continues to run in circles. I would love to sleep all day and stay up all night. For me it is the repurcussion of working nights for almost a year. Now, my body is used to the all-night life and I can't regulate myself back to normal. Maybe you should speak with your doctor about getting some sleeping aid. There are non-habit forming medicines available to put us to sleep at night. Try it and let me know if it works! :) Good luck.

I think that is now very common to many people... like us (because I do that, too). Although, I'm able to get myself to sleep earlier especially when I expect to be very busy at work, or will have to look fresh/good to meet other people the next morning. If you lack sleep, you'd usually look lousy in the morning. But if the sole reason for your staying up so late every night is about this Yahoo! Answers, well... lol... Do you have kids?

Dear M'lady,
I believe it's like an addiction? Pretty common really because some people's bodies react differently to sleep and no sleep. You on one hand don't need much sleep I assume but for even the best insomniacs, they usually pass out literally by the 5th to 7th day of that week staying up every day and night consecutively without sleep. On the other hand the regular insomniacs that don't sleep fall asleep literally after the 3rd day. Some extreme cases are insomniacs who do drugs and seem to stay up day and night and those usually pass out after lots of abuse to their body of course and this can be anywhere from 1 to X-amount of days depending on how long their body can sustain with straight through awakeness and no sleep whatsoever.
Kind Regards,
Ben

When u finally get sleepy in the daytime, don't go to sleep. stay up all day and you'll be so exhausted that you'll probably sleep all night and for the next day or so. If u go to bed at night this way, more likely you'll get ur sleep back on track. That's what I have to do and it works.
