I have a friend that is about 6 years older than me and i am 18. Lately it has seemed like she has gotten busy with other things and no longer seems to show as much interest in me as she did before she got so busy with another job and stuff. I know she is tired a lot now and doesnt have lots of free time, but i sense that she isnt as interested in being close to me as much anymore. How do i quit feeling so sad all of the time about this? I like her a lot because she is a really outgoing and awesome person and I am scared that things wont ever be the same again...b/c we used to go shopping and do fun stuff all the time.

You have to allow her the space to grow.

As in ANY relationship, there must be room to move. Yes, it's possible that you could moce or grow apart, and the friendship could flounder, but its also possible that she couls call you one day and you guys pick right up where you left off.

LIfe requires a degree of space, and friendships are no different than intimate relationships...

Take a breath and relax...what will be is what is supposed to be. In the space of the between time...cultivate new relationships yourself, and see where you can grow.

Best wishes,,

sorry to hear about this, but work does that to everyone.

the best thing to do is accept that things are not going to be the same. it'll be hard. just enjoy the time you have together and make plans with her.

we all have times in our life where we feel things couldnt get better. but htings cant stay like that forever. life keeps moving and so we have to keep up. she is moving on to the next chapter of her life and taking on more reponsibility. your gonna have to move on to, just remember the fun you had with her.
