Wow, as a fellow man, and one that has some body parts that will never be removed, I can tell you that men do not have to be castrated.
I truly hope that someone isn't attempting to get you to belive this, and if they are, that you have not yet gone through the procedure.
For those rare times when castration might be, um, wanted (ok, who out there wants this, anyone, let's see a raise of hands...ok, that's um, ok, someone raise their hand so that we can get a count) then the main reason that men have it as opposed to women is that men have something external to castrate.
If your speaking of something like chemical castration, well then, the main reason is that statistically there are more men who opt to commit sex crimes than women.
Love as always,
Sebastian

I think that the person was thinking of female genital cutting, not castration. The link below gives that information. It's pretty amazing if you do searches on female genital cutting or female circumcision. Different cultures do them different ways as well. Some actually sew the labia together leaving only a tiny opening.Other cultures remove the labia. Some even remove the clit. Boy would that be awful. I think the removal of the clitoral hood would actually be very stimulating!

What men have to undergo castration? Where?
Maybe some repeat pedophiles and sex offenders, but they bring that on themselves.
Besides which, you're wrong, in many backwards countries young girls undergo female castration so that they don't have sex before marriage. Horrible, unthinkable torture for innocent young girls with no provocation at all. They have committed no crime, but are punished regardless.

Actually, women get castrated much more often then men!
For women it is called Hysterectomy, and their ovaries are removed in the process.
For men, castration is removal of the testicles, and it is only done to lower the level of male hormones or to remove testicular cancer. Vasectomy is much more common, but that is just having the sperm duct tied off.

i assume you mean circumcision in the US and i totally agree with you! not that i think they should start cutting girl babies up, but they absolutely shouldn't do it to little boys. the only reason it was originally done was in the bible times, it was a sign of obedience to God (so was sacrificing sheep and we don't do that one today....ironically cuz people consider it barbaric) and catholics did it a long time ago to help keep little boys from masturbating because it's so 'sinful'. I had never thought about why you should or shouldn't do it until i had my son recently (he's 7 months now) and we were going to have it done, then in the nursery i saw the equipment for it and decided to wait a little while, and I am very glad i did. after doing research on it, i found that there are NO health benefits and only health risks to the procedure. my pediatrician said he doesnt' recommend it, and it's extremely painful to the infant, in fact, they often go into shock from the pain. anyway, we didn't have it done, and my husband isn't done either and he doesn't wish it were different! so...after my long rant, you are absolutely right!!!

I'm sorry: Do you HAVE to undergo castration?
Where do you live that you have to have this done to you?
Yes, there have been times when men have been forcibly
castrated, but there have also been times when women have
had uteri etc. forcibly removed. It comes to the same thing.

Ahhhh, I feel so sorry for men. Because having blood gushing from between your legs once a month, carrying around a human inside of you, big heavy boobs that hurt your back and squeezing a some thing the size of a watermelon out of an opening the size of a lemon is just so easy!
