Ok, I'm seeing your question as how you can fix your body after smoking has messed it up. The best thing you can do is to start exercising. Think cardio--running, biking, swimming. Smoking damages your lungs most of all, reducing their capacity and the amount of red blood cells that can get oxygen (which in turn hurts your whole body). Doing cardio helps to reverse this.

Of course, you always want to eat a generally healthy diet (don't eat McDonalds for dinner every night) as well, but cardio helps many of the problems that smoking can cause.

I thionk its vitamin E that we lose when we smoke. Try taking that as a supplament. But check with your pharmasist 1st. But one thing I can recommend, that will help you a hell of a lot is, try smelling stuff.

Ie. Go to the grocery store and smell the strawberries, raspberries, apples and even the lettuce.

When I quite smoking for quite some time I was amazed but the things I could smell almost immediately, just by walking past them. Stuff I couldnt smell beofre just unless I tried too.

I sounds stupid but it actually made me quite aware of what I had lost and what I had gained while quitting. I miss being able to smell nature...since I started smoking again. Im such a dumba$$.....good for you.

There is at least one person who will be jelous of you if you stick to it.

When I was quitting, exercise helped a lot. When ever I felt stressed out and wanted to go buy a pack, I would take a jog instead. It really helped and I lost weight in the process. When jogging wasn't convenient I would chew some regular mint gum or listen to some of my favorite music to sing along with. Can't smoke and sing at the same time.

Yoga helps alot. Every time you crave a cigarette do 50 crunches. Drink lots of water. Avoid alcohol, but drink more caffeine.
Most importantly, quitting smoking is like keeping peace. It's not so much that you do anything, so much as NOT smoking. It's simple. Accept no excuses. That's how I did it.

vitamin C is great for growth of new healthy tissue. Eat a balanced diet, a meat serving should be the size of a deck of cards. Include skim milk in your diet. And don't start smoking again.
