Well......I myself have studied this aspect of Yahoo Q&A from the first week of my participation with this platform which is, certainly, nice and apt for "giving and receiving" vast aspects of different branches of knowledge. Being literature and psychology student, I have come to the conclusion that from the tone of the questions put forth for consideration, there are number of teenagers (in certain groups) who take part just for the sake of "fun" which is suitable to their nature and nobody should pay much attention to their level of either of question or of answers. However, there are some nice groups all over and their style of questions and answers is surely an indication of serious nature and you can say the are between 25 & 60+.....especially in Law, Sociology, Psychology, Politics, Religion & Spirituality, Family, Relations group.
As far as your own interests are concern, forget about age and profiles of the people, and just concentrate upon the level of questions (that is if you wish to answer them...) or just try to submit your questions for consideration. In a while you will get nice responses and there comes the real joy of knowing different cultures.....Try it.

I am a senior citizen. Based on the type of questions and answers I see in this forum, I would guess that about a third are younger than fifteen. I good fifteen percent have truly serious personal problems. Many young women don't seem to know what to do about relationships other than giving in to sex. So many young girls seem so vulnerable that if I were a pervert this is one of the places to cash in. From my perspective only if you please.
