Is it possible to "overwrite" a cd that already contains something such as songs on it and replace the contents with different songs?? If so, how? I am using iTunes.

You can't overwrite a commercial music CD or a computer CD of type CD-R.

However, you can overwrite a computer CD of type CD-RW.

Yes. If you use some CD/DVD burner software like Nero (and many others), you could erase the old data intentionally. It has a function to erase CD. It also happened sometimes to me when I used open sessions that means you can add more tracks on the same CD until it's full. The old tracks cannot be read eventhough you can see them. It happens sometimes but not every time. Using iTunes won't be a problem in overwritting old files but be careful anyway.

You can't overwrite it. If it is a rewritable cd, then you can erase it then write new stuff to it.
