Yes, it can happen if you have an accident. Do not insert anything (except your husband if you are having sex!).

Keep in mind that once the water breaks, the baby is at a much greater risk of infection or other problems and it is normally followed by labor so if that does happen, contact your doctor ASAP.

I don't think so. There is a mucous plug that pretty much keeps the uterus sealed so that nothing can get in. If you mean by a fall or something like trauma, I don't think so. Eventually, you can get hurt enough to go into labor, but I don't think that you on your own under normal circumstances can. I hope tha tyou are not trying to find ways to bring about your labor. That would be horrendous.

well if you think you broke your own water get to the er right now!!!

But no...if you didn't break your water...I never heard of that other than rigourous activity and/or...riding a horse or sticking something up inside you ! Don't know sweetie but it sounds kinda serious if you broke your water at 23 weeks!!

If you broke your water, your contractions by now would be too much for you to handle, and you would know it. Besides at 23 weeks the mucus membrane should still be too thick to worry about it "slipping."

i was so sick and could not stop coughing
my stomach muscles were so sore from all the coughing...
becasue of all the pressure my waters broke... unfortunately i was 30 weeks pregnant... i was taken to hospital and they managed to keep him inside me for 4 more weeks
so it wasnt very good
so i guess it was an accident

Although membranes do rupture early sometimes ("water breaking"), it is very rare. You shouldn't have to be worried in your daily activities about this happening.

However, make sure you do follow your doctor's directions regarding exercise, lifting, etc.

No, unless your baby is ready or the doctor breaks your water, there is no way to accidentally break your water.

Yes, this is why you aren't suppose to insert foreign objects when you are pregnant.
