I agree w/ the other responses that you should wait until you (and your parents) have decided that it's a good idea. However, let's not lose sight of the fact that dating is fun! It doesn't have to be serious, and certainly doesn't have to be a "commitment" (especially not at a young age). My suggestion is that when you decide to start dating, you should look at it as a time to have fun, to form a bond with someone, to be excited about someone and about new experiences. Don't feel that just because you are dating you suddenly have to have an intense, committed, or sexual relationship. Everything comes in good time. Savor each bit.

It varies on the maturity of the individuals. Most people figure that 16-18 is a good time for 2 people doing things and others hold out for 35 as being a good time to start.

I would say anywhere between the age of 14 and 16. Girls mature a lot faster then boys so you should wait until both partners are at a consenting adult level, so to say. Not sexual, but able to make good choices to have a fun and safe time.

some people start dating when they are 14..but you want to be ready..anything after 14 is probably better..but 16 is a good age..you dont want to experience the feeling of heartbreak when your younger..but really its up to you..when your ready and you know your ready

it depends on the maturity of the person. I'd say maybe 14....but not all people are ready for a commitment like that so it varies

30. That way you have done what you want, you are responsible enough to pick a reasonably nice guy, you have your career set, and you won't have to worry about anyone telling you what to do, because if they do, then you can show them the door......
