So many people come on here with problems with it. Is it that user-unfriendly or are these people not tech-savy enough to work it out for themselves?

you should NOT get an iPod, they are ****, when i saved three hundred dollars i bought an iPod 20GB video and it was very dissapointing, i returned it and got this http://www.creative.com/products/mp3/zen... best choice i ever made, iPods become vegetables after about a year, a zen will last forever. iPods dont play WMAs while the zen does, WMAs take half as much memory as MP3s. so yes the zen holds twice as much as an iPod, plus it comes with more memory for less money, its alot more then twice as much. plus creative doesn't force you to use itunes. you can just open the "my computer" window and drag and drop any file you want and the zen will play it flawlessly. when i had an iPod, there was always something wrong with it, almost none of my files were compatible, you have to buy multiple expensive programs to make some files compatible. and plus the customer service ignores you when you call. the zen also has FM radio while the iPod doesn't. the creative customer service is great, not that i've ever had to call for this product. customer service from apple just constantly tells you to buy more and more programs by quicktime, it never ends and you just fork over more and mroe money. for a product you will have to replace in a few months. apple sucks, get a creative.

iPod music players are the best music option on the market. They are compatible with many different computers and are easily compatible with the iTunes Music Store! The iTunes is the best music application on the market, whatever anyone may say it reaches the widest range of individuals regarding their technological competence. I have bought and sold all kinds of iPods on ebay and even when I have gotten a roughly used model they have still worked! As long as you take care of them and use common sense they will last you a long time, bar any strange anomaly that can effect any technological device. Guy from Britain doesnt even know what he's talking about, an iPod 20GB Video doesn't even exist, they only come in 30GB and 60GB. In regards to custome service he is completely wrong, Apple has the best customer service on the market and if you buy the Applecare warranty your guaranteed to have your product replaced if anything goes wrong with the iPod's harddrive. I would buy Apple, they are better quality, have a more friendly user interface, and have nicer overall design!

Never had one but I heard it's hard to put music and video in, easy to be cratched or broken. I like the Zen gernerations more. I'm looking forward to buy the Zen V plus (not out yet). Zen mp3 players are very easy to put music and video in (drag and drop) and much cheaper and much more fashionable (every one has a white or black Ipod). Ipods are just the waste of money

I have went through 2 ipods now, not one complaint.. The people that are writing bad reviews are people usually that don't take care of them.. on occasion, there are defects like with any other product, but if it is just send it to apple and they will send it back to yeah.. Easy enough.

I don't know if they're worth the hype, but I have one and it's awesome. Very easy to use, good sound quality. Having tried other brands, they're simply not as good. Although admittedly you are paying for the name and the fact that they're trendy. Get one though, you'll like it

Well, i got a brand new iPod for a cheap price, so I dunno what anyone's talking about when it comes to overpriced or anything like that.

It's the second iPod I've had with no problems yet. So, I guess iPods are only downplayed because everyone has it. I use my iPod for good reason.

personally i like the video aspect of my ipod. it was given to me as a gift, and i don't know what i would do without it. i spend a lot of time commuting, and being able to convert my dvds on my computer and adding them to my ipod is AMAZING. and i love all of the storage that it has.

my boyfriend has a zen and he hardly uses it. he doesn't like it, and wishes he had an ipod.

POS I hate apple and mac etc.

battery only last 18 months and you have to buy a new one and the battery costs as much as a new one.
