I know how to use iTunes and have imported practically my entire collection into. However, a few of my cd's won't do anything... they just spin in the tray. Can anyone offer suggestions as to how I can rectify this problem.

Thanks, Tracy

I should add that these cd's won't play in the computer at all, but they do in a "regular" cd player. They are original and not burned.

i'm sorry that it's not working for you.
A lot of newer cds are coming out with software on them to protect them from being ripped and stolen.
I know i experienced this with my switchfoot cd, it just wouldn't do anything.

it's not because it's an ipod or itunes like the other guy said. he's just running around posting the same answer to anyone that asks about an ipod or itunes or any apple product actually.

i tried to rip it in windows media player as well. and that didn't work for me. but you should try that.
i'm not going to suggest any programs that you could download any extra software. you never know what may have adware/viruses on it. they're pretty much guess and check unfortunately.

ofcourse you are having trouble it's itunes. and its an iPod. you should NOT get an iPod, they are ****, when i saved three hundred dollars i bought an iPod 20GB video and it was very dissapointing, i returned it and got this http://www.creative.com/products/mp3/zen... best choice i ever made, iPods become vegetables after about a year, a zen will last forever. iPods dont play WMAs while the zen does, WMAs take half as much memory as MP3s. so yes the zen holds twice as much as an iPod, plus it comes with more memory for less money, its alot more then twice as much. plus creative doesn't force you to use itunes. you can just open the "my computer" window and drag and drop any file you want and the zen will play it flawlessly. when i had an iPod, there was always something wrong with it, almost none of my files were compatible, you have to buy multiple expensive programs to make some files compatible. and plus the customer service ignores you when you call. the zen also has FM radio while the iPod doesn't. the creative customer service is great, not that i've ever had to call for this product. customer service from apple just constantly tells you to buy more and more programs by quicktime, it never ends and you just fork over more and mroe money. for a product you will have to replace in a few months. apple sucks, get a creative.

iTunes will import song purely in CD and MP3-CD format. in case you prefer to circulate an entire DVD, in basic terms burn the songs as archives, no longer song, and circulate the archives themselves. iTunes will import archives quite extremely.
