You must look to the whole chart to see what type of people you are attracted to not just your own sun sign and the other person's sun sign.

What aspects do your Sun, Moon and Ascendent make?

The 1st house is you, your personality and appearance..
The 5th house rules love affairs.

The 8th house rules sexuality.

Any sign can be with any other sign. It all depends on your whole chart, based on your DATE, PLACE, EXACT TIME of birth, not just your Sun signs.

Your whole chart then is then compared to the other person's whole chart using a technique called Synastry.

With the given information. The two of you should be compatible. Virgo is compatible with Capricorn, Scorpio with Virgo, and Gemini with Aquarius.
