Take it slooooooow. Don't just jump into "I love you". Go out. Have fun. Be a good friend and if the time and chemistry are right, it will happen.

I know exactly how you feel. It sucks to be around the one you love when they will never love you in return. Don't worry though, time heals everything....I just put distance between myself and my friend and we didn't talk for a while and now we hang out once in a while but I'm completely over him. Just don't try to get close if you know it won't work. Good luck :)

you told her you loved her ... now the ball is in her court ... you can try just asking her how she feels about you, but i wonder why you got into an argument before ... there would be no reason why a declaration of love should lead to an argument ... were you being too pushy?
it's possible to ask a person how they feel about you in a neutral enough way so as to not be offensively pursuing someone who has already said they're not interested

Well, I was in a bar last week and a woman came in and asked if that was my bike outside and I said yes. She asks if I'm a biker and I say I guess so since I have a bike, ride even in the rain, go to bike night and biker parties, and drink Bud Light.
Then I asked, what about you. She says, I'm a lesbian and I ask, how is that. She says, well I get up in the morning and think about women, go to work and think about women, stare at women at lunch, think about women after work until I go to bed and want to have a woman in bed with me every night. The she leaves.
A guy comes in and orders a beer and asks if that is my bike outside and I say yes. He asked, are you a biker. I tell him that I thought so up until fifteen minutes ago but now I think i'm a lesbian.

Sweetie, I know how it feels to be in love with someone and they do not feel the same way. But she has already said she doesn't feel the same way. Don't worrry, you'll get over it in time, and find Ms. Right.

maybe you should hold off on the i love you this time and just build a really strong friendship with her. sometimes things happen between really good freinds that you never expect. at least she's not straight...now that is the worst feeling in the world!!

If you don't let her know that you want to try dating again you may never know for sure how things might turn out.

i love valcus answer but i think you should spend less time with her and more with other people. she may like you as a friend but you aren't being a friend to yourself by waiting around for her. and how will you meet anyone else waiting for her.

Find someone who feels the same about you. She has already told you this.
