It interfers with his close up.
Plus the gun is a prop and the bullets are computer animated.

I think it's just a human reaction to dodge something that's going to hit you. And Superman has to have some human traits for the audience watching the movie to connect with. After all, if they can't make a connection to the main character, they're not going to enjoy the movie.

superman is my hero. but well thats pretty funny that he does that. but getting hit in the head with a gun would prolly hurt more?!?!? i dont know.
