I just noticed that most of the new music I hear nowadays are the common rap songs, ganster raps, or R&B... Usually just men saying whatever and it miraculouosly climbs up to number 1. Or in the rare occasion that it is different, it's a starlet or a bunch of girls singing a "seductive" song. Plus, most of the lyrics are either offensive or disgustingly shallow or both. Does this mean that American music is headed in bad direction?

Its not art anymore. It's inauthentic low-frequency watered-down sh*t thrown out by corporations who get a bunch of talentless hacks to sing songs with simplistic suburban 10th grade white girl lyrics.
If you want good music look for anything old, or anything on an indie label.

i like rock music greater proper. yet some pop is okay. I too grew up with Michael Jackson, Prince, and Madonna. undergo in strategies there have been Madonna women and Cindy Lauper women ... i replaced right into a Madonna lady. and that i enjoyed Michael Jackson (contained in the 80s).

Sadly, that's the popular style of music right now. Dig deep to find some indie artists you like, or just stick to old favorites. That's what I do.

You are so very right. That's why I hardly ever listen to the radio anymore. I just get CDs of the artists I like.

The radio has always played crap. It's not a new thing that's happening nowadays. The same goes with MTV. It's all garbage.
