If you have windows registry pro with the security alert you can delete files without buying the program it will tell you it will only fix 15 but if you say no to buying it it will let you delete 3 at a time until they are all gone. If you want to get rid of it you have to delete it from everywhere it is first the bluestrip on the bottom, control panel, then received files, add and remove programs and finally your hard drive. if you need any help with that write back

WELCOME TO THE COMPUTER WORLD....
hehehe, anyways, I've experienced this thing 3 years ago...
this thing is serious.. may i suggest that you FORMAT your computer.. and after that install anti-virus.. TRY AVG Free...
....things to consider:
when something pop up in your window and tells you that you win millions, don't be deceived... also those things that says you got mail, and virus is detected.. DO NOT CLICK OK... instead close the pop up window using the CLOSE button represented with an "X" sign on the upper right of the popping window...
i say format your computer because its useless if you install anti virus softwares when the computer is already infected.. for the virus will just stop the installation or maybe consider it self as part of the antivirus making it impossible to detect by the newly installed antivirus software....
hope im a great help to you...

more than 75% of the so called "protection" programs on the net are Malware themselves, weather pay or free. and If its not direct from the manufacturers site or a well trusted site it's got a good chance of being malware too.
Please see the rogue list near the end of my post.
You can try ALL of the following Free programs and if they cant remove it you can ask on their site forum for more help.
I use all of the following Free software with Windows XP SP2 and Internet Explorer with MSN toolbar and the pop-up blocker turned on and have never had a single problem with my computer sense Microsoft came out with SP2. (knock on wood.) (And be sure to keep Windows and the following software Updated)
The best Anti-virus is: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. (www.grisoft.com)http://www.grisoft.com/doc/289/lng/us/tpl/tpl01
The Best Spyware defense is: SpyBot Search and Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html)<--English version
AND: AdAware SE (www.lavasoft.com)
AND Spyware Blaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.info/kb/)
The best Firewall besides the one that comes with Windows is: Zone Alarm (http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/co... or just (www.zonelabs.com) and select the FREE version.
These are all FREE and are all that are required. There is no reason to pay for this kind of software, except to give a donation to the writers if you can.
ALL the above programs are recommended and should be run on a regular basis. With some the free versions they must be run manually.
The best way to avoid getting any Malware (virus, Trojan's, spyware, etc) is to practice safe computing. Microsoft and many others have countless articles on the subject of safe computing. (something I think should be taught in schools)
for further information on computer safety.

Congratulations. The pop up itself is known as malware, and there are a lot of so called spyware scanners that install such malware all the time. That's the whole reason I switched to Linux myself.
I'm sorry but you are really going to have to watch out because the majority of anti spyware programs and sites are in fact spyware themselves. I've provided you with a link to a site that mentions several "good" online spyware removal systems, and it also provides links to several other articles that explain the problems and attack the bad guys.

Go to download.com and download spybot and lavasoft ad-aware. Both are free. Then you can download avg or avast antivirus. I prefer avg. If you are looking for a pop-up blocker u can download it from there. Alternatively get yahoo / google toolbar which have a pop-up blocker. That should solve your problem.

go to control panel, and remove the program that you have downloaded. sounds like you have downloaded a virus. you need to be careful, they make some of those popups where they look like they are from your computer but they are from and advertiser. always look at the top. they have to show they are an advertisement. i know how frustrating that must be, pay more attention next time honey.
