absolutley, that is how they get judgment to collect the debt from your pay. be sure to fight them by written reply to their complaint.do not let hem win by default.
there are many defenses you can use. look them up and use them these are called afirmative defenses. after you answer the complaint you may be able to get them to settle for 25% rather than fight in court

If you owe them money and they are not able to collect it, whether willfully or through no fault of yours, like losing a job, they still can take you to court to collect the money or get a judgment against you that will stay on your credit for 10 years.

Yes it is. If it can be demonstrated by your credit file that you have the ability to pay others. (They do their research) Then you'll lose.

If you owe them big dollars and have assets, they can place liens on them. They don't forgive anymore and never forget.

sure if you owe them money and your not paying it,they have a legal right to do a lot of things,put a lien on property,garnish your weekly wages,freeze your bank accounts,take you to court.and on and on.
just pay your bill and there's no worry:):):)
