Yes they can. If a corporation establishes a dress and grooming code, you either have to follow it, or work somewhere else. Image plays a big role in a lot of corporations. There is nothing wrong for asking men to keep their hair short and be well shaven.

If a corporation has an employee handbook that states that facial hair is not allowed in any circumstances, then that is allowed. However, if their policy targets any one ethnic group, or if the facial hair is part of some religious practice, then any reference to it would be illegal.

Yes, The owner of the corporation is allowed to have whatever employees he wills. And if you don't like it, you can go somewhere else. I believe that a man can be even racist against which employees he or she wants, even though racism is very wrong and even absolutely stupid... we live in America! we have the right to own something as we want!
Please don't think that I am racist at all. I Hate slavery and all racism but chinese restaurants should be allowed to have all chinese employees if they wish right? This is America.

Yes they are. Depending on the safety factor. If you have to use self contained breathing apparatus facial hair could compromise the seal of the mask and put you in harms way. Firefighters are not allowed to have facial hair for this reason. Industrial workers who work with chemicals also for the same reason. Safety First

Yes.
A corporation can insist all kinds of crazy things of you. They own you while you are on the clock, and they have influence over your time OFF the clock. Employers can't discriminate against workers based on age, gender, race, disability, national origin, or religion. But unless state law says differently, all other characteristics are fair game, including your political leanings and even what you wear outside of work.
