You have to start out at the amateur level and start taking acting lessons performing in smaller time events and then work your way up. Very few people are ever "discovered" you need to build up a resume first.

Getting paid to perform generally takes time and takes a lot of development of skills, be those skills musical or acting.

Try performing in local shows, try building up experience with small time but professional theatre if they are looking for people your age. And then just keep working on it. There are a lot of shady places that offer modeling contracts or to help you get an acting or modeling career going but they basically just want to collect a "application fee" from you and do nothing with your headshots and resume. The best way to do this is to work your way up with experience. Once you're old enough move to a big city like Los Angeles, Chicago or New York and start looking for musical or acting opportunities then.

Modeling is quite a bit trickier to get into but basically look for open auditions and try out, if you get a decent amount of work only then should you look for representation (IE an agent).

Being any sort of performer for a living requires skill and talent and takes a lot of time and dedication to accomplish. You need to polish up your acting, singing and other related skills and be willing to follow through with your dreams to eventually make becoming a professional performer a reality.

My only advice to you is to get involved with your local theater. Find out what plays they are auditioning for and when. Don't worry about stage fright. Even some of the most famous actors of all time had stage fright. Just go there and be yourself. The worst that could happen is that they turn you down. But don't worry about it. If that happens, try again. Just keep going. Persistence is the key. Also, have fun. With luck, it may eventually lead to bigger things. Good luck! As far as agents go, I can't help you there. Sorry.

You and every other kid your age.

If you ever plan on growing up, there's no way to become a performer unless you really put yourself out there. You have to be recognized by the right people. Take lessons, study techniques, practice, become known, and be serious for god's sake.

But I really don't think you're serious at all. Have you ever actually been exposed to real performing arts or are you just overly excited after seeing the new Britney Spears video?

I was going to suggest getting an agent but that is in your details. Try the yellow pages or a web site for that.

If you get an agent, go through your parents. Theres a lot of perverts out there who will say theyre an agent then kidnap you.
