well, I guess if a pipeline fails, then prices go up and you make more money... so I guess you don't have a lot of motivation to keep up the pipeline?

John R. M... you seem to talk a lot and say nothing... granted, I may have oversimplified the situation, but why don't you actually try to say something next time other than insults...

but, in reality, I doubt you have anything actually worthwhile to say, and that's the major reason you say nothing...

SAD BUT TRUE!! Of course having a bunch of oil guys in the white house doesn't help either. Seems like when the oil guys get into office we go to war with an oil rich country and gas prices sky rocket.

HEY AMERICA DON'T VOTE ANYMORE OIL GUYS INTO OFFICE!!!!

Whats so simple about a pipeline , hundreds of miles of pipe, regulators, pumps and one of the harshest environments in the world .
Personally I cant make any excuses why they didn't do the upkeep but maybe if people would quit whining about gas prices while shoving fuel in there SUV's,but no we cant stop the flow of oil it would be a conspiracy from Dick Cheney , George Bush and Halliburton
One minute environmentalists and moon bats are screaming that we drill for oil in Alaska ,then shut the pipeline off and the same dingbats get pissed cuz they pay 25 cents more a gallon .
Give the NIMBY attitude a rest either we use Alaska and the gulf coast or we shut them off and pay ten bucks a gallon but quit playing both sides
No wonder they havent built a refinery in America in over 30 years

Its a little more complicated than that. Maybe you will understand economics by the 7th grade. Now go to bed, its a school night and its past your bedtime.

Simple!

Change your name to George W Bush and you can do any idiotic thing you want to, wrap it up in an American flag, and the masses will buy it as patriotism!
