Okay, I have been having massive migraines for 3 weeks. My feet keep swelling, my blood pressure is falling about 140/90, and now I have busted blood vessels in both of my eyes. I'm about 13 weeks pregnant. I am on 24hr monitoring for my blood pressure. I keep track of it anyway. Anyone know anything about this? I'm hoping to get a doc or nurse to answer. By the way, my eyes hurt, but it's only in the white part of my eyes. Help?

My cousin experienced the same exact thing and it was because her blood pressure was too high. you should go to the er as soon as possible, it could be something as simple as controlling your blood pressure or it could be a sign of preeclampisa or hypertension. check out this web site

My sister had those syptoms with my niece and nephew (twins) last summer in her 30th week. They kept her in the hospital on strict bedrest for the remainder of her pregnancy. (They made it to 35 weeks) They diagnosed her with preeclampsia/toxemia. I'll say a prayer for you and your baby that everything will turn out well. My advice...until they figure out what it is take it easy...especially in the summer. And be sure to stay off your feet as much as possible...that will help eliminate some of the swelling. (these are all things my sister was instructed to do) Good luck and God bless...I hope things calm down for you...I had a complicated pregnancy with my son...I know how scary that can be.
Good luck

The burden of carrying and supplying another life in your body will make it do and feel things your body normally does not do or feel. Naturally you will be over anxious and cautious. The baby is drawing nutrients from your blood system as well as other things, making you more sensitive to pain , drawing your veins and blood vessels into a larger capacity.
Anything beyond feeling pain in your stomach or womb, I would not worry about.
If you do feel discomfort or pain in those 2 areas. Go to your hospital or phone the nurse or your midwife who should have given you her number.

At thirteen weeks , I think it is too early for you to show signs of toxemia but it seems that something is not right. Are you on meds for the BP? Did you have high BP prior to the pregnancy? Are you eating healthy? Maybe this is not even related to the pregnancy. Please call your doctor in the morning and report your symptoms.

If your dr. doesn't call you back soon I would go to the ER especially if you are already being monitored for high blood pressure.

Please be sure the doctor is watching your BP. There are many reasons. You did not note how far along you are, but these were symptoms I had in my 8 and 9 months. I had preeclampsia/toxemia. Be sure you are clear with all your symptoms. Good luck, Hon.

i don't know about your eyes, but are you sitting or standing alot? if you are that will cause the swelling in your feet, especially if it's hot where you live.
