Well, I have an iPod and I had a regular MP3 player. I like my iPod and I think that they are too overrated and those commericals are dumb. I prefer iPods because they are a little easier to use.

ipods ARE mp3 players.......
it would be better to state your question more clearly. although to answer it, ipods are the cream of the crop, but you can get other types of mp3 or all-in-one players for cheaper that can do the same things as the ipod. i was gonna buy an ipod nano (or micro or whatever) but i didnt want to blow all my cash right away so i got a zen nano plus yesterday. it works fine, sounds good, looks good, is smaller than the ipod nano and only cost me 80.

I have an iPod Video 60GB nad I love it. It's way better than the other ones I used to have. The other ones that I had, were MP3's over 400 dollars, and this iPod, is amazing. http://www.ipod.com/

thats what i been askin my friends lately and most of them said mp3's because they re just like ipods but smaller and they last longer but ipods are different and they hold more songs but to me i think maybe ipods because they are more popular

but im comparing my mini (200 bucks or so )
to my brothers MP3 (50 bucks)

iPods are okay, but not many people have had both. I prefer my iPod to my sister's Zen Micro, if only because they have more accessories.
