Builder put Tyvek directly on studs, then put up walls, then siding directly on wood. They say it's ok, but Typar and Tyek say it's not. Anyone ever hear of this??

Builder framed house, then put Tyvek on studs, then put on plywood, then put siding on. Mfr specs say put on OUTSIDE of plywood. Builder says its ok this way (despite mfr specs) We actually found mold when replacing.

Builder is wrong, it will not be okay! Tyvek is a breathable moisture barrier that goes on the wall sheathing.

What does the manufacturer instructions say?? My guess is if it was not done according to manufacturer specifications, then it should be fixed.
