If you don't remember, here's what happened:
Italy complained that Frings punched an Argentine player after the quarterfinal match. FIFA listened and suspended Frings, thus he was not allowed to play in the semifinal against Italy. A few days later, the Argentine player said he was never punched by Frings. Upon hearing this, FIFA said they regretted their decision. Any thoughts?

Juventina: I like some of the Italian players, but to say I liked the team as a whole would be a lie. And to say I liked FIFA would be a bigger lie.

yes italy complained that frings punched an argentina player because they knew that fifa will suspend him from playing and they knew that without frings ...they would win against germany easily....fifa's stupid desicion caused germany to lose a worldcup
and the fourth title..... which means that fifa are easily influenced by people.......and which means that the italians are kinda cheaters.....i dont hate italy but this is evil work and this showed that italy didnt win the wc by their pure talent

Italy didn't complain. That was a rumor circulating in Germany. In fact, Fifa made their decision after watching a TV footage that had appeared on BOTH Italian and German TV, and that was NOT presented to Fifa by Italian TV stations.

Plus, Frings is NOT the whole German team, so his suspension was irrelevant to the outcome of the match. Nesta, according to many the best Italian defender, couldn't play either (he was injured) and as you can see, it made no difference.

The attached source is an article on Frings suspension that states how Fifa got to see the video, and it's NOT an Italian source.

The WC is over, get over it and better luck to Germany (and France) in 2010.

that was long time ago. Frings punched someone back in order of defense, but he ended up getting the punishment for no reason. so F- the FIFA for stupid decisions. If Frings would'd been on the field against ITA... WE COULD'D WIN THE F-EN GAME!!! screw Italy. you will never be WC 2006's champion, instead, just a bunch cheating scumbages that's all.

FIFA sux but don't blame the Italian team. it wouldn't have made a difference if frings was there anyways.
