United 93... and now WTC....

I think Hollywood is going too far. To use the deaths of 4000 Americans to make money..... for shame!

I will boycott both of these movies and won't even rent them when they are available at Netflix.

I have my reasons not to watch these movies. Im only left to assume that they were funded by some faction within our government to solidify support of the war by the civillian populus and people in the military. This probably has something to do with the conspiracy theories that are going around that the government orchestrated 9-11. I dont plan on seeing this movie because I saw it live. It is the same reason I didnt go to the movies and watch United 93.

Making a movie about 9/11 5 years after it happened is sad but it happens all the time.

Hollywood is the ultimate reason why Radical Islamics hate us because they show the worst America has to offer and de-moralize the American way of life to that of Rome just before its collapse

Supposedly, they have the permission of the survivors. But, for me, it's too soon. Maybe when a decade or more has passed, I don't know. But I'm not ready to see a Hollywood version of that day. Not yet.

A documentary about actual events with actual people who were there, I'll watch. But not a "reenactment." Not this year, anyway.

it's not much different than making a memorial. you have to view film makers as artists. and film is their medium. this is just their artistic expression to those events. i'm not saying it will be a good expression. but film makers have feelings about 9/11 too and they're not poets or scultpors or orators, so they make their tribute on film.
my only criticism is that they could make any piece of junk movie about 9/11 that had a positive message and the public would eat it up. no critic would dare pan it for fear of backlash. so what may end up happening is that avery bad movie will be made and no one will speak up for fear of offending people.

Actually, I heard United 93 is supposed to be great and plan to see it when it comes out on DVD. I don't plan to see WTC because I hate Nick Cage.

By your logic no one should ever make a war movie. There are even movies about the holocaust, so why can't someone make a movie about 9/11?

I am certain that Hollywood is shaking in their collective boots at the news that you will not watch these two movies.

Michael Moore did it and he didn't even worry about telling the truth.

I think they are just using it as new ideas for movies so they can make more money, but are clever enough to try to market it as patriotic drama to appeal to our emotions. Hollywood is nothing but commercialism.
