Someone asked for an interesting question and I think this one fits.
Wouldn't it be better if both men and women could give birth? The pain and joy would be more equally distributed; men could get paternity leave more easily...

Because an ecosystem can only facilitate so many of a species. Having both sexes able to produce offspring would lead to overpopulation and therefore the evolutionary process would limit the ability to replicate. So, in essence, the fact that only one sex can produce offspring is proof that evolution is in fact true!

You answered your own question and didn't even know it.

The pain and joy of birth is not a factor in the survival of the species. Most mammals in this world give birth through the mother. That's because we are genetically linked in the far past. So why havent we evolved for males to have it too? Because the current system works. It is possible in the future this would change, but with the current social /breeding system built into many mammals, a male mother would not last.

Men can get Paternity leave Here in Canada. But let's be honest men could not handle the pains that is childbirth There is nothing worse then a sick man.Physical pain is intensified 10 fold for anything a woman feels. Or that is what a man Believes Push a walnut up your pee pee and feel it as you push it out if it rips then maybe you might get the jest of it

We have not evolved that far yet. Relax its coming but not in your life time.

Evolution is true despite what Christian propaganda says. A small piece of proof is wisdom teeth. Human kind has evolved enough so that they are no longer necessary. Many humans are born without these days.

Men giving birth is far off, so far that it is more likely the human race will evolve into a one gender species before male birthing is possible.

But men can breastfeed, its been medically proven that men can be made to lactate.

When man was created, he was the prototype. Woman was the new and improved product. Everything that was a design flaw in man, was perfected in Woman.

That's why women are more capable at everything than men are. Do you honestly think you could handle being pregnant for 9 months, , going through contractions and labour, breastfeeding, and years of pain and heartache (and plenty more of the good moments).

This is your idea of an interesting question?

Evolution is a change in gene frequency in a population over time. It absolutely happens. There are many methods by which it happens and only one, adaptation, results in suiting a species to it's environment better. However, there must be a gene created (by mutation, etc.) that allows for preferential selection of a trait.

So, men can't have babies because there has never been a gene mutation, which allowed them to do so.

Evolution is based on survival, not 'fairness.' The human race seems pretty able to populate the earth with the 'contribution' men already provide.

That said, the revlolution requiring men to share the pain of diaper changing is already happily well under way (according the sleepless dads I know)...

It is physically impossible for a man to have a natural birth. Would you really want to? Can you imagine what your baby would look like, not to mention that you'd never be the same.
If you did, you'd probably qualify for permanent paternity leave, and you would be the one complaining of a headache.

You need a male and female to reproduce.. only one can give birth.. men are stronger than women so they can take care of their families.. and women are soft more loving and are nurturers.. not to mention they can produce milk for the baby.. This is the way we were made by God and this is the way we evolved through nature.. Its worked all these years.. no need to change

OK, If you believe in evolution, have you ever heard of a male animal giving birth?
God made female bodies for childbirth, he gave us the proper organs, and bones that actually move to allow the birth of a child.
God did not make a mans body capable of having a child.
