You're constitution has been demolished. Your dollar is worthless. Your president is by every definition a Terrorist with weapons of mass destruction. Your government is being run by a group of men whose only goal is to create a constant state of war. And most likely come November, like your President said, magically, a pandemic will kill off 200 million of you and your sectary of defense’s old company has the only vaccine. Oh, this of course will set the Patriot act into action and cancel all elections until the "national crisis" is dealt with.

The people of America are afraid of their own government.... and thru this fear; you are letting a few men control all of you in every way imaginable. Sad times indeed for you American’s.

Well here I am right outside DC and Ive been wondering the same thing my entire life. I definitely don't hate you, I agree with you. I am scared about what is happening here and what our government/corporate interests are doing globally. But I am not complacent, I am very active and so are many many more like me, just not enough! My disgust about the hypocrisy and anger at the tyranny just becomes fire to fuel creative work.
Yes, between TV and fast food drugging most of the country, it is scary how little power most Americans tend to believe they have yet almost no one trusts the government. It is as though people are either hypnotised by media and shopping mall addiction and yet many people here are just trying to survive.
You might not see it or be aware of it, but there is a very strong grassroots undercurrent here for social change, human ecological values and real democracy. This is very true in DC and throughout many parts of the country. We are not all phony fat apathetic tools, although on the outside looking in Im sure thats what it seems like.
I am afraid that it may take something drastic to wake people up, yet I do not know where else to go. This is my home, my family has been here for hundreds of years. Our country is like an experiement of human potential, such a young country with no real cultural identity, yet founded on ideals for creating a new world, more power for the people (yet founded on slavery and genocide) . Im aware that the experiment appears to be failing, and that true democracy is not happening here. Im not sure wheather its the slight of hand shadow side of humanity coming out, or if were being controlled by aliens, but I also am waiting for people here to wake up, and doing what I can to help this happen.
Any suggestions? What do you do for your community and country? for the world? besides ask provacative questions on yahoo

However, Being American, the one thing you did get wrong, is We Don't Run! If you have a problem with our country, stay out of our business! We are definitely not scared of anybody, our Government, our citizens and definitely not some pathetic foreigner who is most likely reaping the rewards of whatever assistance OUR complacent government is providing your sad country. So here is what I propose... protest your own government, tell them you don't think they should be taking handouts from the USA, because of MORAL grounds. Seeing as most likely the US probably contribute upto 1/3 of your govt. subsidies, I'm sure you won't miss that at all. I mean really how much food does one country need. While you are at it, turn off your internet, seeing as it was originally developed by/and for OUR US Military. Return all of the Vaccines our government has supplied/developed because Malaria is curable with a little TLC right?
So no I won't tell you that you are wrong, I think you already know that. When you are starving, plagued and can't even look online for any help, just remember you did this on MORAL grounds!

That took a lot of guts to write that. My point exactly. Are you from the U.S? You must be to know the truth. Most will not truly admit how bad it really is here. I wish this forum would have been here in 2000, 2004. Because, maybe we could have stopped what's going on in America today. Before it started.
One by one our rights are disappearing, to the point that the Constitution is no longer what it was meant to be.
Not all of us are complacent. Many of us have our eyes open to what's going on. I also realize that we face very sad times indeed.
Legalized wiretapping is thought by many to be to our benefit, because the Feds told them it's placed there to protect us from terrorists. A few of us know who the real terrorists are.
Only the ignorant would post hatred toward you. I am preparing myself as best I can for what's to come. It is coming. And it's not good.
It's not only corrupt federal government here, it happens to be running rampant in my own state. Indiana, chose to change their time zone. We the people, were not allowed to vote on this issue, it was left to the elected ones. The Feds (DOT) decided which time zone each county would observe. Now the state is split county by county. Some have CDT, while the rest of us are on EDT. It sucks.
Then our governor decided to sell our Toll Road to a group of foreign countries. Well, it's only a lease agreement for 75 YEARS. We weren't even told exactly who all the countries are that are involved. Australia's one of them. But it is getting pretty scary to think that our governor has the power to do such a thing without our consent. Split 3.8 billion among 92 counties over 75 years, is not very much money.
There was a lawsuit to stop this action, but I suppose the judge was paid a bunch of money to throw it out of court.

Americans will wake up the second before the missiles begin to hit them from some far off place. People in the USA are complacent and basically un-aware of the outside world. That said many in the USA are trying to change the government and come this fall there may be more world-friendly liberals in Washington D.C.

I for one am not responsible for the party that controls our government; I did not vote Republican. Clinton was a leader regardless of his personal wrong actions. I think personally we should have stayed in Afghanistan and gotten Bin Ladin and stayed the hell out of Iraq. I am very much aware of what Bush and the Republicans in Congress have done. They are going to make us a 3rd world country with their tax cuts for the wealthy, high gas prices on the middle class and their selling America to the highest bidder such as trying to sell our ports and airlines to other countries.

There are merely too many elements. and about those Israel solders that were abducted.. they were on Lebanese territory. those Israeli solders in Lebanon have in straightforward words been there defensively to end the attacks coming in from Lebanon. and yet another ingredient.. the international is scared to do something because.. the Israel military is widespread to have more effective skill than us of a military. that's actually unfaithful. with the help of any ability you want to judge, the Israeli military doesn’t come on the point of the skill of the USA. I’m confident you gained’t believe me, yet all you should do is enroll in “Jane’s” that is the suited military diagnosis contained in the international. our goverment is complacement and greedy, there are too many lawyers and beleding hearts to have any balls to do anything. We are letting it happen but I think there is a shift to be more of what America should be. It will take time but we will regain our shores. The american people are tiring of paying for freeloaders (illegals) coddling prisoners, and supporting a lazy welefare state. Times are changing. We need to reinstate our own country and leave other countries for thier people too deal with (Iraq).

It is not necessarily because you are absolutely wrong, but it might quite possibly be the obtuse and angry tone with which you posted your information. For example...you could try backing things up with links like this one...http://www.freedomtofascism.com/ ...You could also try writing graceful, soft language (not unlike the language I used here, in addressing YOU - a most worthy poster, might I add, if you don't mind my saying so), and try referring to thy readers as brothers and sisters - as that is what we all are on this Earth.
