I am presuming you are wanting some teahing strategies for learning disabled students that provide you with some method instruting your students in listeing and speaking skills...

Now without knowing exactly how your students are disabled I can only be failry general in my answers...

learning the art of conversation is about learning the pattern of taking turns... ie.. first I listen while you speak then you listen while I speak...
So any activity that involves turn taking sets down the pattern of conversation...

Learning to listen is about learn to hear, comprehend (understand) and decode what is being said....
So activities that involve hearing and decoding will add to the listening and speaking skills.

Play with patterns of sound... ie. I ring my bell the you beat your drum... then Mary rattles her tambourine... then it is my turn again...
And If I ring my bell twice then you beat your drum twice... and so on..

For students with some speaking ability you can ask them to create a crocodile story... ie.. first student says..."Once upon a time John went for a walk." then next student contributes a part to the story and so on..... till the end of the story...

Pratice good manners in the classroom.... ie... What to say and do when you meet someone... ie. extend your hand for a handshake... listen to the other person...

Also games where eah member of the class teams up with another and they take turns introducing each other to the class and tell the class something about that person....

If you contact me with a bit more info on your students then I can give some more exact advice...

Your question is so broad that it is very difficult to answer. My best suggestion would be to do separate searches for "teaching listening skills", "teaching speaking skills", "teaching communication skills"."learning disabilities", etc.

Additionally there is a company called LinguiSystems that sells all kinds of materials for teaching communication skills. The speech language pathologists who work in our area get many of their materials from them. Look at their site and see if there is something there that will meet your needs.

I hope this is of some help.
