how do i tell if my toothpaste is the gel or paste kind? I want to use it on a pimple so i need to know if its a paste or gel.

umm...did I hear you say you want to use it on a pimple?
Where in the world did you hear about this remedy for zits?

you can make the difference out by seeing it visually. Past is usually thicker and gel is thinner.

opacity.
the white or near white kind that looks as if light cant pass thru it (opaque) is paste.
gel toothepaste is more transparent (relatively) & comes in colors.
there's also striped (combo).
that sounds like old advice (using toothepaste on zits) that may be based on formulas no longer used. at least you can experiment cheaply (get travel size or shop at 99cents stores). let us know how it comes out!

look at it, if it is a clear type, it is gel. Thick and white, it is paste.

I heard it is the paste kind that you can use on pimples. Use the minty kind, no buble gum flavor.

Check package if it says.squirt a little out and see.

if it's white and chaulky it's paste.
