When you are going through trials and tribulations, turmoil and strife. How well can you pretend your fine when your not? Do you show your emotions or keep them bottled up and suffer silently?

I'd have to say depending on the situation determines if i'll show how i feel about it. I usually talk it out about what's bothering me but there have been times when i suffer in silence.

Suffering in silence is needless suffering. Emotions are meant to be expressed. That is how humans communicate honestly.

Keeping an emotion inside and not expressing it is not healthy. Learning to express your emotions without going overboard is the key to balancing your mental health.

I tend to express my emotions unless they are totally socially unacceptable. Then I find a way to remove myself for those which might be offended and express the emotion as I need.

I am good at hiding my emotions with people I don't know very well. But when I'm with my friends or at work with a couple of people, I express my anger openly. I ask for their point of view on the situation and see if they can help me out. But when it comes to the real sadness that I feel in my heart, I don't share that with anyone else.

I tend to keep it in in general - other people have enough problems on their own without mine on top of them, and whining to every tom, dick, and harry isn't going to change how I feel.
I only discuss my problems with my really close friends, and only when they want to listen - it's far more productive that way,and saves from unnessessarily depressing people who don't really need to know. I wouldn't advise telling NO-ONE though - just don't blurt to everyone - that just brings everyone else down, and makes you feel worse if they're not interested.
Constructive = good. Pointless bitching = awful.

When I'm going through something bad I tend to just fall apart. I have to talk about it or else it seems worse.

At times like that, I'm good at hiding my emotions, until something makes me start crying, and then I can't talk well, nor even sing in church.
