What is the best way to record music on a mac computer while on a budget?(preferably for rap.)?

i can record fine with my internal microphone but i'm looking for something with higher quality, what i'm really looking for is a better microphone, and what i need to plug it into the mac, since mac's don't have mic outlets. i am also on a budget in a sense, so i'd like to spend less than $450.

Yes, macs have an audio input jack. It's a 1/8 inch stereo jack. Use a Low-Z to Hi-Z converter if you must, but i would recommend getting an external audio interface device that plugs that uses Firewire or USB. Bunch of those out there.
