Could be a metal allergy to cheap earrrings. Piercing studs are gold-plated and don't contain nickel. Many inexpensive earrings do and lots of people have an allergy to it, which makes piercings painful and irritated. Try putting the piercing studs back in or getting earrings which specifically say "nickel free" or "surgical steel" on the packaging.

Did u put the ear piercing lotion on the lobes on a daily basis when she first had them pierced? This could be the problem. Make sure u put that cleanser on because this reduces redness or soreness. Also, I had a second ear piercing on each ear (both on lobes), and even after I waited 12 weeks to remove the earrings, my right ear was hurting. Sometimes it's best to leave the earring on longer. U should try putting the earring in again so it won't close (after applying the lotion), but if u can't or it's too painful, just let it heal on its own. It will probably close and u shouldn't try 2 pierce it again until 6 months- 1 year. Hope this helps! Hope ur daughter gets better!

first off PUT THEM BACK IN !!!!!!
did u get them pierced with a gun? if so it will take a bit longer for them to heal. a gun is basicly a non cleanable tool that is common in piercing ears. it forces a blunt stud through ur skin and in many cases ripping the skin apart.
try going to a piercing studio and ask for some cleaning solution its about 5 bucks or so but its non stinging and wont hurt the new piercing. dont use any cream around them as it will not let air in or do any good for the piercing.
try to leave the studs in as long as possible. being this new, the holes could coles up fairly quickly. it takes about a year for them to be fully healed.
another reason there might b a problem is she may have an alergy to the earrings

I know that some people can't have certain types of earings in, maybe you should try getting her earrings for sensitive ears. Also, keeping the earrings out too long after having them pierced such a short time ago, they do have a chance of closing up, but I don't think it's that big of a problem. Keep doing what your doing, if you are still worried, go back to the place where she got her ears pierced and see what else you can do.

She is probably having a reaction to the type of earring that you put in after you took the piercing ones out. A lot of people have very sensitive ears when it comes to earrings. Make sure that her earrings are real and not plated. They also have earrings that are labeled hypoallergenic, you may want to try those as well. You can clean her ear with peroxide as long as you aren't putting in another pair of earrings in, which you shouldn't. If you keep on it, the infection should clear in a few days and you can try another pair.

You should have been cleaning her ears twice daily with alcohol/peroxide during the 8 week period. And also turning the earrings while they remained in her ears. After the 8 weeks, you should continue to clean daily for a while after you put in new earrings. If you don't put earrings in right away, the holes will heal closed and she will have to be "pierced" again. Good Luck

I would use rubbing alcohol. Let them heal completely before sticking another earring in it. Make sure the earrings you use are real gold. Anything else could cause infection. Also make sure that the back to the earrings are not too tight. If you stick the studs back in file the points down.

Shes just allergic to the metal in those particular earrings. Only let her wear surgical stainless steel or hypoallergenic earrings and do not use antibiotic ointments/creams, this will aid in healing the hole and she will have to have it re pierced. Using a dab of hydrogen peroxide or specially made pierced ear cleaner (like the kind you should have gotten from the piercer) will suffice...or you can use an astringent like seabreaze that you would use on your face, just til redness stops.

i would put the studs back in so the holes don't close up. continue to clean her lobes and the studs twice daily until the puss is gone. it could be possible that she was allergic to the metal of the new earrings. try different types (i.e. nickle free, stainless steel, gold plated...etc.) of earrings and see if that helps. good luck.

It is an infection, it could be that the hole has not fully healed- my daughter had the same problem and we ended up just letting the holes grow closed casue they never stopped getting infected.... it could also be that she's allergic to the type of stud wether it's gold or silver, I'd maybe ask your doctor.
