Tranformers are located in utility easement. They have overgrown so much that no one can access utility box anymore and performing maintenance may be risky due to electrocution danger, bees/wasp nests, impacting utility to other neighborhood residents.

Hi I dont think the utility company would remove the shrubs themselves. You will probably have to pay for it. But, when you remove the necessary shrubs, do not go overboard. You will still want your house to be aesthetically pleasing and have that nice balance with your landscaping.

That's definately a hazard. Maintenance of that easement is the utility's responsibility. Call 'em and ask 'em to correct the problems.

They probably will not move them. The easement is granted to them for their service. They on the other hand could request you remove the shrubs.

Anoldmick has a good point.
However, you can cut the shrubs above ground level without fear of electrocution - just don't dig up the roots.

seriously doubt it, but if in their way you can bet they will tear them out, and you cannot get paid for their removal. In some states, depending on the local laws, they might even be able to charge you because they are there. I would ask.
