It's funny how when you hear of two people breaking up it's always one person's fault. No matter the situation the blame is always placed on one. If it's abuse then it's the abuser who gets blamed but what about the person who stayed to keep getting abused. If it's a cheater, it's the cheater who gets blamed but what about the person who remained in the same situation to keep getting cheated on. I think in every relationship we all play our part.. when we find ourselves in unhealthy relationships be it emotionally, physcially, mentally etc. If we stay even after realizing we are holding on to something that we should be letting go of. We are playing our part. No matter what happens in a relationship remember take away lessons learned. be it good ones or bad ones. It's a learning experience and there is something to be learned from how all parties involved behaved in the situation.

Just food for thought.

I am just know beginning to admit to the parts I played in destroying relationships. When someone breaks up with you, it is so easy to feel that they are the person who is wrong. But they broke up with you for a reason.

You said to take away the lessons learned, and I believe that. Relationships teach us some of the most heart-wrenching lessons and it's easy to forget what we learned from it.

I often find myself thinking that. I used to tell my friends about what my date did to me to make ME unhappy but now I mention the part I play as well. I like to think it is helping me to become a better person and better lover. I think it shows a lot of modesty when a person can admit their flaws, it shows the willingness to change.
