Not really, my neighbor calls me girlfriend and he like 15 years older than me. I think its funny.

I hate to be called ma'am by anyone. No matter the age. My dear seems to be pretty popular in my world. I can live with that. As long as it isn't ma'am, I can handle it.

If they say it in a smart tone yes if its thanks hun no not really I hate it when a guy calls someone they don't know bro or BUB that isworse and so disrespectful

It doesn't bother me at all. Its a sweet thing to call a person. I wouldn't call my boss that though!!!! But I think it is sweet.

I think a lot of people say it out of habit, but it kinda skeeves me out when a guy says it. Like the other day i was in subway and he called my mom sweetie. that's sick. she's my mother for crying out loud. like TWICE your age. i almost puked.

Not really, It's a regional thing, more likely to hear it in the south or midwest.

Yea is does bother me. It also bothers me when guys call my mama, lil mama, shawty, or kid. That's really bugs me. None of those names apply to me so I don't respond to them.

Not really, what really bothers me is when I am shopping and some young kid calls me ma'am.... like I'm old or something. (And doesn't ma'am just mean that b word??)
