I was with my sons father for a few weeks then got pregnant. Until our son was two months he was never around but then we did get back together. He is now 10 months and I need to know how to change his birth certificate to include his father. I want to do it before he turns one. How do I do this? Who do I get in contact with? Do we have to have a blood test if both of us know he's the father?

Contact the department of vital records in your state. Do it quickly because after 1 year old it is much more difficult in my state. He will either have to admit that he is the father in writing to the courts or they may request a dna.

I think that you will have to get in touch with a lawyer. A birth certificate is a legal document and you prolly need a lawyer to ammend it.
