Lie detector tests have been disproven countless numbers of times and therefore it is highly possible for everyone, even those who are not pathological liars, to cheat their way through the test.
The best lie detector is still us. By observing the physical cues, speed of speech, and tone of voice of people, we can judge whether they are liars or not, better than any lie-detector machine.

if they truly believe the lie they are telling, then maybe. lie detector tests measure your pulse, and when you lie it changes...but if they don't think they are lying, it wouldn't change.
