i answer q's buy looking at the subject (category) or what ppl put as an intro...then if i like the intro then i read the details...from there, if i find it interesting enough, i will answer....if ppl put like "boys or girls only" i dont answer them...if it isnt even a q, i dont open it....if it is somethink very immature...it stays closed...if it says "help me!!", i dont help them....lol....if it says, "my bf or gf is blah blah blah, whatever the hell" i dont give a damn...if i see it is someone i have answered b4, i will open it and see...i prefer more complicated q, although i do answer the ones like "hey how r u" and stuff like that, once in a while....
=) (i answered urs b/c i liked it) well, that was obvious

Most of the time I go by what the question is. But if I see a Q from someone who's questions I've answered before, I might gravitate toward that one. Never on whether or not I perceive it as difficult. Lastly, if it looks like it will be easy to turn into a joke, or give a smart-assed response or make George W look like an @ss I'm all over it.

I look at the way they formulate a question. If it's constructed well, it's most likely a serious question.
I tend to avoid questions that have abbreviations like "u," "ur," etc. Adults tend to write out complete words and sentences. Teenagers or youth tend to abbreviate because it's trendy.
Young people tend to ask questions about Culture, Current Events, or Gossip. Usually it's teens with angst that will ask more thought-provoking questions. However, even then, we come back to angst.
Adults with serious problems will ask serious questions or whatever is really pressing. Young people don't worry about stuff like money problems, taxes, bills, or business because that's not really part of their world until after they graduate from high school and move to the University Level or working world.

First of all, it can't be a stupid/inane question not worthy of an answer (like "Should I get wasted?"), nor a "loaded" question (like "Are all you such-and-such's morons?").
Second, if it's a simple question to answer (like "How do I save a picture to my computer?"), I know somebody else will have answered it before I can get my answer posted, so I just move on. I get no ego stroke by answering questions somebody else already answered.
Third, if it's poorly composed (actual example: "cont. Can he live a normal life?"), nope.
If it's a question I obviously cannot answer, I skip it.
Well, that eliminates about 98%.
If something just sorta catches my eye, and falls into none of the above, I just might answer it!

I look for problems I can try to help solve or an answer that will help someone Else's day better. If I can help someone I will if I, if I don't know the answer I search for the answer on yahoo or google and post the link.

I have no particular formula. If a question strikes me, I answer it. Sometimes seriously, like now, other times with humor and then there are those questions that just p*ss me off. Those I answer with sarcasm. Depends on the mood I'm in. The avatar has nothing to do with it.

I just go to the Yahoo Answers front page and start reading them from the top down. If I run into one that I have an answer for, I answer it.

I just go by the questions that I know something about, and then sometimes I answer real easy ones just for the 2 pts., like "when's your bday?" or any "what is your favorite" questions.

Pictures don't describe the asker !
Neither do the names . . .
An interesting question calls for clever answers !
A stupid question will get idiotic answers . . .
If I can help , why not answer ?
Fair enough , I think !
