If I agree with you does that make you right???

2006-08-08 16:19:56 · answer #1 · answered by Basketcase 4 · 0 0

That is the essence of freedom. Everyone has the right to their own opinion. Right is not so black and white when opinion is entangled within it. It doesn't make you wrong, but trying to convince someone else you are RIGHT is another story. That is why the phrase agree to disagree is so popular...and people always say avoid politics and religion. If this is in regards to someone always bursting into hysterics when you disagree with their beliefs or opinions, chances are you are not going to change them. Some people do not have an open mind for debated discussion. Chances are no matter how many facts you have to back your thoughts on it, they will not budge. Bottom line is that you are entitled to your OWN opinion and no one can take that away from you.

offensive and dumb as a box of rocks!!!

just make sure that when you disagree with someone you read the contents first (because these morons would have agreed with me if they would have bothered to READ!!! but they ended up way out in another direction) and also make sure you're not over the top rude about it. because you may not have totally understood where the other person is comming from. so you don't want to look like a complete a$$hole when you have to be told you're wrong.

depends...

if it's a subjective matter, then there's no such thing as wrong or right. (I like dark green chocolate, and u like white chocolate)

but, in an objective issue, if u cannot prove to me that I am wrong, then I would see ur side of the argument as wrong. So in my perspective, you would be wrong. The truth however we may never be able to know. Now, if I cannot prove ur argument wrong, nor u can rebuke my argument (from my perspective at least), that's when we let judges and supervisers or managers decide.

It's all about perspectives. The truth today could be a bunch of fallacies tomorrow, and vice versa.

Nope. A disagreement over issues doesn't make either of us wrong. You've got every right to your views and opinions. Nor does it make me angry that someone disagrees with me. The only thing that would make me made would be if the other person wanted to ram his point of view down my throat. Feel free to think for yourself.

No it does not, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and should be respected for it, you on the other hand also needs to be respectful of other peoples' opinions and threat them with respect too. Just because you disagree with someone does not necessarily make either person is wrong!

depends on what we are disagreeing about. If its something to do with actual facts, then whoever has the wrong facts is wrong. If its about beleifs, no one is wrong.
