Or does it have an auto-stop feature on the battery?

No, it's not possible to overcharge it. Even when it's playing on the dock while you charge it, the charging will stop and it will start using the AC power instead, so your battery's completely safe. I've been using mine for over a year and it's never, ever broken [and the battery's still very good although I leave it charged quite often].

not that i know of, I think it just stops charging once its full or somthing because I do it all the time, and if apple didn't set an auto-stop feature they would lose business because how can u know when it is full so I would say it has an auto stop feature.
just an educated guess.

EVERY device that has a rechargable battery stops when the battery is full.

Just leave it, it'll be ok.
