I have the misfortune to own an unreliable clock. This one gains exactly 18 minutes every hour. It is now showing 1:00pm and I know that is was correct at midnight, when I set it. The clock stopped 12 hours ago, what is the correct time now?

1 am = 1:18 am
2 am = 2:36 am
3 am = 3:54 am
4 am = 5:12 am
5 am = 6:30 am
6 am = 7:48 am
7 am = 9:06 am
8 am = 10:24 am
9 am = 11:42 am
10 am = 1:00 pm

The clock stopped when it read 1:00 pm, which corresponds to a real time of 10:00 am. That was 12 hours ago, so it is now 10:00 pm.

I'm even more fortunate to own a broken clock whose time display never changes.

As strange as it sounds, I can mathematically prove that my broken clock, that always displays the same exact time, is more accurate than the finest atomic clocks ever created.
