Men and women both cheat for a number of reasons. Most of them want the best of both worlds. Some feel that they have a missing void that they need to fill. And others realize a little too late(after they're married!), "I'm not ready to be tied down to just one person!" There's a lot of other reasons, too--it all depends on the person's marriage and their situation.Do I think there's ever a good excuse for a spouse to cheat? No. Marriage is sacred-- you seal legal vows to love and be faithful to only one person for the rest of your life, and it's wrong to violate those vows. That's why anyone who is approaching marriage really needs to think about what they are doing because it's a big committment-- probably one of the most important decisions you'll ever make in your whole life!! The simplest way to tell whether or not you're ready? Sounds corney but it's true--listen to your heart, it'll tell you everything you need to know. 8-)

Because society now says it is ok to cheat on your spouse. It use to be you did not hear about it very often. Now with movie stars and such you hear about it all the time and they tend to think it is ok. Men like that are immature and need not to get married. Not just men have extra marital affairs women do as well. They will blame the wife for not giving it to them but it is new girl to them and they get tired of the same woman. What comes around goes around they will regret it in the end.

Well, if you ever find out, please let all of us know. We each have thoughts as to what the reasons are but we don't know what the offender is thinking. Bad relationship, married too young, fall out of love, no attention, and the list doesn't end. But know this, if he cheated on you once, he'll do it again! Make the decision if you want him and if so, then work it out. The old adage about forgiving him, well, it's not up to you. Only God can forgive! That is for him to deal with. But do go to counciling, it does help deal with all the emotions you have. Worry about yourself and let him deal with the guilt. If he has any!

When they get married they don't plan on cheating. The cheating comes later when the love-making becomes mundane. They get tired of the same thing in the same way, and a little floozy who promises excitement can catch a man's eye. Men see it as "sampling" and women see it as "breaking the marriage vow."

No one sets out to cheat, but life happens, passion fades, people change. What you want when you're 20 isn't always what you want when you're 30 or 40. It's sad but true. Many good, loyal, moral, honest people fall out of love with their spouses, and it's not always either person's fault. We all know that monogamy isn't natural. Men are built with the need to spread their seed, and women are built with the need to be loved, protected, etc. If those things aren't met affairs occur.

It's either an ego thang...or insecurity issue. Or they just down right don't care. its very rare that's once ur man cheats he will never do it again. so if before you'll met and he had a history of cheating what made you think things would be different. once a dog always a dog. you can either move on or accept it and hope one day for a change!

They mostly cheat because they feel neglected or disrepected in the relationship. Or because you've stopped giving it up without having to basically start an argument about it. Sometimes its not worth getting it at home, when it comes easier from someplace else.

i guess probably for the same reason that a women would get married if she is only going to cheat on her husband
i do not agree with cheating it is the lowest act that any one can do to another but we all know that not only men do this and it is annoying when people stereotype the rest of us males that don't do this and we all know that's its not just males that do it
