I know I love it up here, but I'm not exatly sure why? Do other countires think that Canada is also pretty cool? I realize that we have pretty comedic military strength but other than that, I dont really see anything else wrong.

Not wanting to sound ignorant...but....just to add to this question after reading a few of the answers....do Americans actually have to pay if they walk into a hospital with a broken arm (as an example) or say bleeding from some accident that requires stiches??? If so....how much on average???? Cause for us...it's free!

Canada, for one thing is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. We get free health care if we are Canadian citizens. Our government (even though some times it may seem corrupt) is one of the best working in the world. Canada has a small population and that makes it so that it is not so crowded in public places. Our comedic military also has its advantages. This shows to other countries that we are not a threat to them. There is also so many good schools in Canada. Some other countries standard education for high school (not just poor countries either) is equvalent to our elementary school education. I could keep going on about why Canada is great but the list is endless.

One of the best health care systems in the world....something the US could learn from, but the greedy bastards won't even think about it - it's "socialism" and that's a bad word.
Above all - you don't have George Bush as president. That's a lot like being in heaven.
Oh yeah, anybody can sing the Canadian National Anthem "Oh Canada" which is a much better song than the US one which is a war song done to an old English drinking tune!

Yeah...them Canadians are a real problem eh! Did you know they supply the world with 30% of the worlds uranium and were responsible for providing the technology and fuel which lead to India and Pakistan's development of the bomb eh. Did you not also know that as a result Pakistani scientists took this technology and then transferred it to Korea and Iran eh. Canada's Dirty Little Secret eh! More coming soon.

Canada. I love its Social system, really great.
Canada probably needs more in-house corporations and jobs, the dependence on the USofCrap must stop!

People don't think Canada is cool. They think Canada is cold. That said I'm here in New Brunswick and absolutely love the weather here right now. Those to the south of us are jealous of are excellent health care coverage and for some reason they are afraid of getting it for themselves.

What makes Canada great?
The fact that they are NOT the USA, and because they have such an amazing wealth of real talent in music, artists, poets, and comedians!
Canada is a beautiful country without all the sprawl and with all of the freedom!

It's a different place and I have visited there many times on vacation...people are generally friendly and I love Montreal....been around the center to Eastern parts.....the country trees and scenery is beautiful!!!
All countries have there nice areas......I'm from the New England area!!!!!

Jim Carrey is funny. Maple syrup is good. I enjoy hockey. I think people ending everything with "eh" is charming.
