Its been hit a couple of times by lightening, and those branches died and fell off. Over all it looks good. I dont know what kind it is but the leaves fell like crazy last year and this year hardly. Its not an oak, little leaves. In florida. thanks

Little leaves in Florida? Need a bit more info.
some trees have flaky bark like malelucas (paper trees)
Bottle brush. Most of Floridas trees are smooth barked if they have small leaves.... North Fl and South Fl are two totally different climates so that makes a difference also.
