I found that the best way to minimize stretch marks is to rub cocoa butter on them every day if not twice a day. I did this in the first 7 months of my pregnancy then decided to stop because I did not get any at this point and I had read that if you didnt get any by this point you most likely would not well now 6 months after my baby was born I still have the stretch marks I gained in my 8th month. So tell your wife that no matter how far along she is to continue whatever treatment she decides to use until the baby is delivered. Good luck.

The only way to avoid stretch marks is to prevent them. I recommend the following -:
- Massage vitamin E or olive oil on the abdomen areas from the start of your pregnancy. Massage it liberally over the marks after a shower. Incase you skip a shower, clean the area with a wet cloth and then apply the oil.
- Regular exercise helps to tone your muscles and keep your skin firm.

I used cocoa butter several times a day. I didn't get very many stretch marks...but, I did still get a few. For the ones that she does get the only advice that I can give is for her to have patience. Mine are almost completely invisible to the naked eye and my son is now 4. They've been that way for about the past year. Patience and cocoa butter is what worked for me.

vitamin e and cocoa butter lotions will help the skin become more flexable so it doesn't leave that bad of stretch marks. Other then that there is NO way to get rid of them all together. goodluck
